This is our most-popular day tour of Bulgaria, if you wish to see our country “out of the sea-side”.
Our luxurious tourist coach with the guide speaking the language, which you have ordered, will take you from your hotel.
Our route goes in parallel with the famous “Stara Planina” or “Balkan” – our mountains, which gave its name to the Balkan Peninsula . The first stop is in a pretty Bulgarian village, called Zheravna, where, it seems, that the time has stood still. After a walk on cobblestoned narrow streets our guide will take you to an old house from 18th century with preserved details from Bulgarian life of that time, including an original weaving handloom and bride’s dowry trunk.
In the center of the village our guide will lead you to a church complex in a quiet and shady yard, where you can visit a working Orthodox temple “St.Nicolas”, built in 1834. One of the local houses, in particularly its vast yard will be the place for your lunch and after that you’ll have free time to walk around this unique village.
In an hour later you’ll be inside “Blue Stones” nature protected area, where our coach will make a panorama tour towards the top of the mountain. Up there is a chair-lift for about 2 km distance and you’ll travel above breathtaking views of Bulgarian mountains and lowlands. Each chair of the lift is for 2 persons. If you can’t travel with a lift, our coach takes you down to the final Lift Station.
Our tour goes on with a visit to the city of Sliven, which lies at the foot of the mountains. In the center of this beautiful mountain city you can observe a typical Bulgarian way of life. Here you can visit a big farm market, working Orthodox churches and, of course, shopping centers.
On your way back you can see views of our Bulgarian lowland with vast vineyards and cereal grain fields.
Our coach will take you back at Sunny Beach at approximately 7-7.30 p.m.
